Critical Role’s Matt Mercer Takes Colbert On A D&D Adventure
May 25, 2019 by brennon
Critical Role's Matt Mercer went to join Stephen Colbert and took him on his own solo Dungeons & Dragons adventure. It is...amazing.
It was wonderful seeing Mercer take Colbert on this adventure and his smile as he dived back into the game after decades away from the table. Sure, it was a bit rushed in places but I hope that Stephen Colbert will get to go and join others at the tabletop soon to continue his tale.
During a recent interview, Joe Manganiello did promise that he'd run a game for Colbert at some point so maybe he'll be able to go and join him in his awesome D&D dungeon.
What would you name your bee companion?

a great video I’ve seen some of mats DnD video quests they are brill and comical at the same time.
Wow. Colbert remembers the AD&D bard rules! 😀
Personally I think Matt Mercer is a D&D legend, not just because he knows his games inside and out, or that he is a game master to aspire to. But because he pushes game masters to develop their own way and their own worlds and not just to be like him, but to be like themselves and create a world that both the players and the game master can be part of.
Agree with everything there 🙂
You could tell Colbert was genuinely enjoying himself. That smile was of pure joy. I hope we see him as a guest on Critical Role sometime in the future.
Great to see someone reconnect with the hobby.
