Meet The Creatures & Monsters Living Wild Beyond The Witchlight
August 20, 2021 by fcostin
The Wild Beyond the Witchlight adventure for Dungeons & Dragons has brought nothing but whimsical delight during its announcement period. Teasing the devious fae and their woodland realm, through the reach of a mysterious red and white striped circus tent. This has got many 5e players thinking about their new characters and the journeys and adventures which can be embarked upon in the new world.
Witchlight Carnival Premium Miniatures // D&D Icons of the Realms: The Wild Beyond the Witchlight
Now, Wizards of the Coast has added to their Wild Beyond the Witchlight releases of the Adventure book and alt cover, with WizKids announcing the D&D Icons of the Realms: The Wild Beyond the Witchlight sets, of the whimsical creature and character miniatures who reside in the world which is set to open this September.
Let's take a look at what kind of beasts exist within this new world!
Without the sourcebook in front of us, it is hard to judge whether this is a world we would like to immerse ourselves in. And the best place to start looking within these new releases is the Witchlight Carnival Box.
Kettlesteam // Witchlight Carnival Premium Miniatures
Palasha // Witchlight Carnival Premium Miniatures
Northwind And Red // Witchlight Carnival Premium Miniatures
The world is certainly interesting, as I find myself looking at creatures within the set past my imagination's reach. When promised dark and twisted vs wholesome and whimsical, a raven being dressed up to the nines in his favourite fairy get-up, was certainly a surprise.
Mister Witch // Witchlight Carnival Premium Miniatures
Mister Light // Witchlight Carnival Premium Miniatures
Burly // Witchlight Carnival Premium Miniatures
Contained in the set are 11 pre-painted miniatures, by the names of Mister Witch, Mister Light, Northwind and Red, Thaco, Burly, Palasha, Palasha's Tank, Candlefoot, Dirlagraun and Kettlesteam. I am not too sure who is who - matching name to the creature (although I could take a pretty good guess... Burly looks like he is in need of a good cuddle!) - however, I am certain that two very important characters as part of the main plotline can be found inside, being Mister Witch & Mister Light.
League of Malevolence Starter Set // D&D Icons of the Realms: The Wild Beyond the Witchlight
Valor's Call Starter Set // D&D Icons of the Realms: The Wild Beyond the Witchlight
Along with the release of the highlighted characters from the upcoming adventure coming in September, there are two Starter Sets available as a way of NPCs for your adventures, looking at the League of Malevolence and the Valor's Call Starter Set, containing 5 NPCs in each blister.
Prepainted Plastic Miniatures - Brick // D&D Icons of the Realms: The Wild Beyond the Witchlight
Looking to see what other mad and wonderful characters belong in this fantastical world? There are 51 characters to collect, as within a brick there is a set of random monsters and characters waiting to return home, through that circus door and back into the world of the fae.
Swamp Gas Balloon // D&D Icons of the Realms: The Wild Beyond the Witchlight
It is not just character, monster and creature miniatures that are being added to the adventure. there is a means of transport too. As players are going to need a method of transport to get around the mystifying world of Prismeer. And why not a mahoosive Swamp Gas Balloon to aid in your travels? Caution: will probably smell interesting during take-off.

If you do consider yourself a collector, you can get your hands on the absolute lot, all contained in a stunning Collector's Edition.
