Creature Caster Preview Their Deadly Looking Demons
October 23, 2014 by brennon
The Creature Caster Kickstarter was funded back in May of this year and they've been working very hard to get their promised project to backers. In a recent update they've unveiled how two of the creatures are shaping up!
Both of these demons are looking superb up close and personal like this and the detail is coming out very nicely. These are turning out to be quite the dream for painters and I reckon we're going to see a lot of these appearing as display pieces and indeed as part of large centrepieces in armies when they finally get released.
My favourite part they showed off here was the sword of the first Demon. I think the work that's gone into that blade is great and I could see that painted with lots of glow effects showing off what kind of deadly magic resides within it.
What do you think?
Best demons out there by far. A shame I couldn’t get in on the kickstarter. Still, one of these will end up as a centerpiece in one my armies… eventually!
I like these. They can easily be used as Warhammer or 40K Greater Daemons, and have a few nods to the imagery from those gaming universes like the Slannesh crab-like claws on the second sculpt, but they do not appear in any way derivative of existing designs. The detail looks great, and a convincing expression of non-euclidean savagery is conveyed on both sculpts.
All in all, excellent stuff
Sorry… some things aren’t designed for 40k :-).
Some things aren’t…these are…;) At least for WFB and WH40K. Amazing models. I didn’t get involved in the kickstarter because of the scale. For WH40k I felt they were probably a bit too big, especially as GD’s are not really the scariest thing on the battlefield in th 41st millennium. As for WFB, I haven’t started playing it yet (well, started again), so I don’t really know but I get the feeling they would be appropriate given that are more likely to be one of the scariest things on the battlefield comparatively. That and WFB has got some big kits… Read more »
Those are rather imposing and well detailed.
Cant see how these would fit in aestheticaly with CADhammer
They have a style and beef of their own that makes them look even better than FW greater daemons IHO. Good also to see clear big pegs for joining parts together.
