First Corp Litter The Field With Dead British Paratroopers
January 26, 2016 by brennon
First Corp have added some casualties of war to their webstore. Sometimes those drops didn't go so well and so you can use these 28mm British Paratrooper Casualties for objective markers and to show when squads have taken a few brutal hits...
I think these would be useful as objective markers first and foremost. You could do a mission where you're controlling paratroopers landing during World War II and it's up to you to get your squads together across the board while German patrols look for your squads and leave these littered bodies in their wake.
What missions would you set up with these markers?

perfect for an Arnhem rematch?
I know this is going to be a little bit sorry sounding, but we have always used a different type of marker for including losses in any given unit what ever the period it may sanities a game of toy soldiers trying to kill the others, not knock down or remove. I though have had an issue with how dead are portrayed in our gaming.
Don’t know if it just me but I think it is a good question.
So NO these are not something I would not be purchasing.
The boundaries of good taste in wargaming are a personal thing. I’d not judge anyone for using these, but they’re not for me.
And as @unclejimmy says, you can’t kill a para!
@chrisg I’d never given it much thought. I had a friend who refused to play any modern historic wargames as it put too much emphasis on real life suffering but he was happy to kill and orc or two.
My initial reaction is that I agree. Perhaps I’m just feeling a bit morose but I think I prefer to keep death and loss out of my games. Life is poo enough.
It’s a perspective thing – your experience allows you to do that. I play modern games, after all it is just a game.
I wouldn’t buy these either – maybe a guy sitting with a bandaged head for wounded trooper, maybe as an objective marker.
Picked-up one-or-two real ones over the years so I won’t be collecting any at home…
Anyway – you can’t kill a para!
Now, if they were modern insurgents, I’d buy several boxes.
Yeahhh, not something I would go for. Not so much a PTSD thing, it’s just not for me.
…I don’t have PTSD! (woof, woof, can you hear the helicopters?)
I also want to add that the term “litter’ bug me a little
