Take A Look At The Contents Of The Perry’s Battle In A Box
October 14, 2015 by brennon
The Perry Miniatures twins, alongside Wargames Illustrated, have been showing off some the contents of their new venture, the Battle In A Box. The first of these will be for the American Civil War giving you the troops, commanders and scenery to fight out a battle from this turbulent period of history...
You will get everything that you see here apart from the trees and the gaming board. Everything else will be provided within the box for you to get stuck in. You will also get a copy of the Firepower rules which have been tweaked by Alessio Cavatore.
There will be loads more information on this particular venture in an upcoming issue of Wargames Illustrated. I am looking forward to seeing what other Battle In A Box games they do. They have a vast range with plenty of scope. Hopefully we'll have a Medieval one soon.
Will you be getting this?

Nice!
How many more sleeps till this comes out?
awesome, didn’t know they were going to throw in a few zouaves 🙂
My first forays into wargaming were with ACW. I have had a hankering to make a return visit the period. Hopefully this release will create some interest amongst my friends.
hoping the exact same thing, Napoleonics scares people and finding an era that intrigues more than one of my mates has proven tricky in the past @huscarle, at least with ACW and with a box like this you can use army painter techniques to get a reasonable enough force on each side and dent the myth the historics require enormous amounts of painting skill to make an army worthy of the board, and worthy of the meta in which it is set. Great idea of the Perry’s, I hope they consider doing something similar with other ranges over time (Agincourt… Read more »
also not such a daunting painting task for me to provide both sides for a starter game. I did the same for Bolt Action it is now the most popular game in the club.
This is a cracking idea and with the Perrys behind it, it’d struggle to go wrong!
