Much like with previous releases in this style, it comes with an alternative miniature and base for your Strategos. As well as the Strategos, you also get three retinue miniatures that can be used to represent different Old Dominion characters on the tabletop in The Last Argument Of Kings or First Blood. All of these miniatures come on that stunning diorama base.

This particular diorama showcases one of the mighty Caelesors of the Old Dominion. Here you have Alexius The Great, First Of His Name who is flanked by Erik The Red, Nicephorus The Stalwart and Sidon The Ancient. I see what they did there. Buried within the same tomb, when they returned to unlife, they were ready to bring their own brand of military prowess to the tabletop and march forth at the head of the Old Dominion armies.

I love that there is a neat bit of background and lore to this set whilst also opening up the options for you to tell your own stories. I think a lot of folks are going to pick this up and use the different characters as leaders of their First Blood warbands.

The set offers up another fun take on the Old Dominion too where it's less about just the "Roman" look and embraces more aesthetic options from the Ancient world.
