Concord C3 Drop Command Team For Beyond The Gates of Antares
December 4, 2015 by stvitusdancern
Warlord Games has released some really cool looking miniatures for Beyond the Gate of Antares. This time around they have some Concord C3 Drop Command Troops.
These troops use special parachutes to slow their decent and help guide them into the targeted dropzone. These armoured troops are pretty tough looking and will surely intimidate any opponent you face. They are metal miniatures and they are multi-parts.
"Drop Leader Lu Raul’s eyes fixed upon the glittering array of his suit’s interface as external temperature and pressure rapidly soared. He scanned the drop envelope. The squad was keeping formation in his wake as they were programmed to do. The shard would hold them steadily through the first phase of the drop. After that they were on their own."
If you have been thinking about getting into this game this might be a little more incentive to pick up a starter army and expand with these troops and get to fighting for the survival of your race.
What do you think of these troops, do they command your attention?

Love ’em!
The Concord armour style is very characterful. Not just another power armoured sci fi bunch – well they are, but in an outstanding kind of way… 🙂
Hoping these guys are plastics!
Dammit just saw the part that said multi-part metal 🙁
Yeah, from what I gather the only plastics will be the core troops of each army. There is a possibility of the rest of the figures going plastic if the game does very well.
These Drop Trooper Command Squad renders really look the part, and have some nicely dynamic poses. Here’s hoping that the final models keep this aesthetic.
Those do look really good.
I like plastic. but they look so nice i don;t mind if they are metal. I;d like them to come in multiparts, maybe heads and a arm to costumized them properly.
This is a great style which is I haven’t seen a lot of in miniature form before. Automatically reminded me of the Infinity Jotum TAG. Managed to make it look bulky yet maneuverable.
They also have a lot more detail on the armour than the current/beta test miniatures. Also the Helmets are different.
Does this mean that we may see the current ones remastered (they do look a LOT better on those renders)?
wow, they look like mini-gundam!
