1898 Miniaturas has released a bunch of additional packs recently for those wanting to build up their Arab/Berber forces of the early 1900s. If you're looking for some forces to clash with the French Foreign Legion then these could well be just the Historical 28mm ticket!

Arab Berber Command Group - 1898 Miniaturas

Arab/Berber Command Group // 1898 Miniaturas

One of the first sets from the range is the new Command Group. This comes with a range of characterful leaders that can keep the rest of your soldiers in check. There are options for different weapons in the set meaning that you could always do a bit of mixing and matching if you like.

If you're looking to bulk out your on-foot forces then there are also two packs of infantry for you to choose from.

You can either get your Arab/Berbers wearing Turbans (above) or Caps (below). The obvious answer is to get both of the sets and then mix and match them, allowing you to build up a diverse collection of miniatures for your scraps on the tabletop.

All of these miniatures come armed with Remington Rifles which would have been very handy at the time. I also really like the range of poses that you get with the set including some sneaking along, others aiming and the occasional fellow psyching himself up for a fight. If you're playing skirmish-level games, these are going to be a nice dynamic collection to dive into.

If you want to represent some of the Arab/Berber that have just been making do, you can also pick up this set with Obsolete Rifles.

These could represent some of your lesser-skilled troops during your games who have just picked up whatever they could find as the fighting starts. They come with Springfields and Moorish Muskets so it's an interesting mix!

Last but not least, there is also a set of Arab/Berber Dead & Wounded. It's always fun to have markers like these to show the damage inflicted on units rather than relying on beads or dice.

These would also be great for those looking to make interesting dioramas and vignettes using the range from 1898. The creators of this collection are fast becoming one of my favourites and it's awesome to see this collection of 28mm metal miniatures expanding and growing. I do believe that a lot of it is also going to be available from Empress Miniatures which is neat if you like options!

What do you make of the new Arab/Berbers?
