Prepare For The Coming Of Victrix Persians In Summer 2020
January 29, 2020 by brennon
Victrix has now given us a date for the release of their Persian plastic set. If you can wait until summer you'll be able to get your hands on their Later Achaemenid Persians.
The set will allow you to make a selection of archers, slingers, spearmen and more with command elements throughout. This means you could very easily get going with a proper Persian army in both your skirmish and mass battle games.
We've seen a lot of the previews for this plastic range over the last few months and it has been impressive seeing the progress that has been made. I like that you've got enough bits and bobs in the mix to make some very iconic looking characters so if you're of the skirmishing persuasion you can make some dynamic and individual soldiers.
Are you going to be snapping this up?

Would be good for their bottom line though!
I backed the clash of spears kickstarter and am getting two warbands, however i can see myself picking up some more victrix to have an assortment of skirmish warbands for many armies, these look great
These would make for great conversion bases for hobgoblins for Chaos Dwarfs. 😉
Great looking figures (but a nightmare to paint), perfect for Footsore’s game (I think they’ve released the cards to play a Persian force) and the new Clash of Spears rules. Often ignored by wargamers (because you need a HOARD of them), at last released in plastic as a more cost effective way of buying them (vs metal figures). In fact it’s been a long time in coming for a manufacturer to finally release a historical army that relies on numbers to win (vs bring out the usual “elite” armies like Romans). Hopefully we’ll see a few more armies that rely… Read more »
