Clockwork Goblin Show off the Miniatures for War Without End
August 15, 2012 by brennon
We've seen the concepts and some renders for the War Without End models by Clockwork Goblin, but now it's time for the miniatures to make an appearance. Check them out below...
First up is the selection of infantry models that are on offer for both the US and German forces. Considering these are in 15mm they don't look half bad and I could see a horde of these on the tabletop looking good.
Of course the real reason a lot of you are interested in Clockwork Goblin are these...
These are the mighty walkers for the game! Now these are some impressive models that deserve a fair amount of praise. Check out how big these are compared to a standard tank...
This is turning out to be a fantastic line of miniatures. It even has a selection of zombies on the way too!
So what do you think folks?

The powered armour looks terrible. The german stuff especially, looks like a heap of polygons. And what’s with the gritty finish on everything? I like the mechs, but they seem to have that same texture.
Looks like they’ve used a cheaper 3d printer to run off a few quick ones for fit and scale testing, hopefully they’ll switch to a better one before going into production, but the blocky low polygon model feel on the armour is probably unavoidable at 15mm if you want to give any sort of angular look.
I like them. The texture is probably the result of 3D printing, but I think it won’t be noticeable at anything resembling a normal playing distance from the model. The models look more precise than half of the Battlefront (FoW) minis already, so I think we can expect some cool stuff from these guys in the future.
I’d love to use these for a Secrets of the Third Reich army along some Plastic Soldier Company stuff.
The texture looks fine on the bigger armored units, as it gives them a cast steel effect, but looks bad on the smaller infantry ones.
I don’t know. These do look like metal castings and it’s worth noting that the pictures scale the minis up quite a bit (roughly five times on my screen). No human eye can achive that. I bet that to natural eye, these look just fine.
The zombies are fantastic and I do like the german infantry.
Yeah…you have to remember these are 15mm minis. I think they look incredible for being done so small.
Looks better, design wise, than the Dust Tactics stuff imo.
Oh, I did miss the part saying that they where 15mm.
That’s a lot of detail for that scale.
I’m really starting to fall for smaller scale models. First Dropzone Commander, now this. I was thinking about getting into Flames of War, but if this goes all the way (ruleset and multiple factions) I’ll definitely get in on this. I think the models, especially walkers, larger troopers, look great!
