Claymore Castings Bring Mounted Sergeants To The Battlefield

Claymore Castings has added a couple of new packs to their collection for use on the Medieval battlefield. This time around, a set of 28mm Mounted Sergeants are riding forth, keeping an eye on your troops as they get ready for a charge.
Mounted Sergeants Pack One // Claymore Castings
Each of the packs comes with two riders, two horses and two shields. They have been supplied with Italian-style round shields but you can swap them out for heater shields if you want to make them slot into other European armies of the period.

All that you need to do with these miniatures once you've strapped on the shields is find them some weapons to use. You could give them spears if you like or swap out those for swords, axes, maces and the like if you prefer.
Some of the models do look like they would work best with spears but others could easily be tweaked. I still like how detailed all of these miniatures are from Claymore Castings and they are often posed in ways that befit their battlefield role. No slowly cantering horses here!
If you're looking for Medieval miniatures you can't go too far wrong with Claymore Castings I say!

Fantastic sculpting on these miniatures with a wide range of uses, dare I suggest “The Baron’s War”?
You could definitely use the Baron’s War ruleset with them. Period wise these figures are later than that settings early 13th century style being early Hundred Years War.
Good looking cavalry commanders.
