More Classic Miniatures Join Warhammer: The Old World’s Range

Games Workshop continue to release miniatures for Warhammer: The Old World covering the Kingdom Of Bretonnia, the Tomb Kings Of Khemri and the Orc & Goblin Tribes. New and classic miniatures are popping up for all three classic Fantasy factions.

A new Forge World resin miniature leads the way in the form of Lady Élisse Duchaard. We saw this miniature pop up in early previews and now she's joining the range this weekend. She is a powerful level three wizard who can deal plenty of damage with her spells but also with the charge of her unicorn. Lady Duchaard looks great but I think the unicorn Ariandir is the real winner here!
Another character has also been added into the mix separately. Here we have the mighty Lord On Royal Pegasus who can be painted as a Duke or a Baron with a variety of weapon options.

If you're looking for a mighty new leader for your army, flying to where he is most needed, this might be worth scooping up. Maybe you dove into The Old World with your older miniatures from your collection and want something new and fancy to help enhance your collection.
A couple of full plastic sets are also going to finally be released for those looking to build their armies up to the next level. You can now get your hands on the Men At Arms and the Peasant Bowmen in large regiments.

Use these as massive regiments able to hold a portion of the battlefield or split these up into smaller regiments so you can cover more of the front line. With the lethality that you get in games of Warhammer: The Old World now, it would benefit you to have some larger units, especially when using the likes of the Men At Arms.
Returning Tomb Kings
A couple of classic Tomb Kings miniatures are also returning but remade in Forge World resin. The Casket Of Souls has been tweaked and updated and should be a lot easier to put together for hobbyists.

This miniature has been resculpted to include an occupant of the casket! That means that you can leave the lid off and showcase the fellow within if you like. I have to say I also really like the two guards of the Casket Of Souls with their huge weapons. I think they would look good mixed in with some of your different regiments as well as watching over this casket.
Rather than having to war with this metal behemoth, you can also get your hands on the Necrolith Colossus in Forge World resin.

There are two head options for you to choose from when building the Necrolith Colossus and I think you might get away without having to pin anything for once! A classic miniature returning to the fold but I get a sense that this might be quite expensive!
Orc & Goblin Tribes!
A range of miniatures are also coming to help support the expanding Orc & Goblin Tribes range. Some characters are popping up for the magically inclined portion of your army. You can choose from two Orc Shamans with one on foot and one mounted on the back of a boar.

Talking of boars, there are also some thundering Boar Boyz racing back into the action. This is one of those classic sets that I am glad to see returning, a proper rabble of killers eager to get into the midst of battle.

There is plenty more for you to pick up when it comes to the Orc & Goblin Tribes including the Orc Mobz and the Black Orcs. The Orc Boar Chariots are also available separately.
For those wanting to expand the Goblin side of things, you can also pick up more miniatures to make a more themed force. The Goblin Shaman is fantastic with his little skull bowl where he is brewing up some potent potion.

Regular Goblins are going to be available separately but also the Night Goblins. If you like skulking around in the dark and ambushing your foes when they least expect it, these units are going to do the job. I still love those classic Goblins with their spears.

If you want to add some speed and manoeuvrability to your Goblin army then you can also pick up the Goblin Wolf Rider Mob. It's a bit of a shame that we've gone back to this rather than the glorious Snarlfang's Rippers that popped up for Warhammer Underworlds but I suppose this will make sure the aesthetic all lines up.

All of these miniatures are going to be coming up for pre-order this weekend, expanding Bretonnian, Tomb Kings and Orc & Goblin Tribes armies. There is still quite the wait for those wanting to get their hands on Dwarfs never mind the other factions for The Old World but fingers crossed, it will be sooner rather than later.
Have you been keeping up with Warhammer: The Old World and have you played some games with either classic or perhaps even new armies?
