More Classic Bretonnians & Tomb Kings Return This Week
January 22, 2024 by brennon
Games Workshop are continuing to show love for The Old World with a whole host of Bretonnian and Tomb Kings of Khemri miniatures going up as Made To Order items this weekend. Use these to help customise your 28mm Fantasy armies and a return to The World That Was.
Bretonnian Lord On Pegasus // Warhammer: The Old World
Shop Warhammer: The Old World @ Store.OnTableTop
All of these miniatures are going to be available in metal with the occasional plastic horse when required. The Made To Order period will run from 27th January through to 8am GMT on Monday 5th February. You will be guaranteed your order but it might take a little while to arrive.
Bretonnian Lords & Battle Standard Bearer // Warhammer: The Old World
Maybe you'll be lured in by that Bretonnian Lord On Pegasus or those new warriors on their regular horses. I always really liked the fellow on the right with the axe at the ready. He always seemed like he nailed that "grizzled veteran" vibe. The fellow with the dragon-based heraldry is also a big winner in my opinion.
If you're looking to get stuck in on foot alongside those new Knights Of The Realms, you can also get some of these new Paladins.
Bretonnian Paladins On Foot // Warhammer: The Old World
I have the fellow in the bottom left as he led my Bretonnian Warband in Mordheim. I also like the chap with the brutal cavalry hammer and the over-the-top helmet. He will look cool in the front rank, getting ready to smash some bones to pieces.
Last but not least for the Bretonnian side of things, we have the Damsels Of The Lady. These are another set of classic miniatures that wouldn't look out of place on the cover of a heavy metal album. I like both the foot and mounted miniatures!

Use these to help vary up the options for spellcasters within your Bretonnian force and see if they can help protect your valiant knights from harm. They might even be able to send a couple of foes packing with those swords too.
Made To Order Tomb Kings
Leading the way for the Tomb Kings, we have two, errr, Tomb Kings! One of them comes armed with a hand weapon and shield whilst the other is hefting a great weapon.

These miniatures are stunning and they still stand up after many years in the vaults. They aren't as old as some of the miniatures being showcased across The Old World range (these came out around 2003) but it's very nice to see them back, leading your dusty armies in style.
Similarly, you can also get your hands on some new spellcasters with the Liche Priests. You can get them mounted or on foot offering up some different options for a budding general.

If you want to go all out and get your Battle Standard Bearer ready for the tabletop, there are options to snag these miniatures too. Again, they are available mounted and on foot.

You'll be able to drop these into your games and start making both your Tomb Kings and Bretonnians look nostalgically awesome. As I've said before, it's so good to see these old miniatures becoming available again. Warhammer Fantasy Battles was my introduction to tabletop wargaming and I will always have a fondness for the range and the game. For those who missed out on these pieces of history, it's good to see them returning.
Could you be tempted by any of these Made To Order gems?
