Battle Through City Ruins With PWork Wargames New Mat
March 16, 2020 by brennon
PWork Wargames has a new mat for you to check out which should cross the divide between all manner of genres. See what you think of this City Ruins mat design which got released recently.
This mat could be used as the remains of a city which has been flattened by bombs in either a Historical or Sci-Fi setting. All you'd have to do is tweak the buildings that you placed atop it in order to make it match your game of choice. As well as that, you could also use it for Fantasy games, perhaps as the cracked floor of a mighty Dwarven hold deep underground.
The mat comes in a variety of sizes and three different materials too. I think that this would be a really nice option for those playing games set in the likes of Stalingrad where the city has been reduced to rubble. It would also be a good sight for a clash between massive armies, perhaps during the last moments of a siege? You could see this being packed with buildings and the remains of crumbling walls as troops pour into the city.
What do you make of this new mat?
"You could see this being packed with buildings and the remains of crumbling walls as troops pour into the city..."
Great for a battle torn airfield.
That’s a matt mat
But will it warrent a ‘Warren meets mat’?
Very nice
