Check Out A Fusion Of Fossils & Victoriana With Sauriana’s Rhinophile
September 7, 2016 by brennon
FossilPunk Foundry are working towards a new 54mm skirmish game called Sauriana and when we saw their first miniature, the Rhinophile, we just had to show him off and find out more.
So, what's this chap all about?
"Rhinophiles are consummate big game hunters. Plying the African savanna in search of their next trophy, these men of action are bedecked in khaki and equipped for long expeditions.
Equipped with a high-powered double rifle and porting an array of tribal fetishes and charms, they cut an impressive figure whether encountered on the frontier or in an urban environment."
Additionally when you get this model, sculpted by Kevin Cayuela Borg, you'll also get his Stat Card, Equipment Cards and more. The piece above is based on artwork by Taissia Abdoullina.
It certainly has you thinking about what other kind of quirky heroes you'll be seeing hit the tabletop for this game. With that in mind we should probably find out more about Sauriana.
You will...
"Lead a band of daring Agents hand-picked from the ranks of the Othniellians, the Cope Collective, the Explorer’s Club, and the World’s Faire.
Outfit them with arms and equipment, hone their skills, and challenge your rivals as you race to accomplish your goals in the jungles of Africa, boomtowns of the Wild West, in the back alleys of London and beyond!"
Additionally there is a lot of focus being put on the customisation and player choice options open to people who play the game. You will find that other models in the range will come with a range of different options and they are encouraging you to be wild and inventive with your designs.
We will be awaiting more on this game with glee!

nice shoudnt he have his foot on a kill of some sort not a rock?
Except even a 54mm baby rhino would probably be bigger than the base.
