Acolyte Miniatures Cast Spells With Their Upcoming Wizard
August 22, 2016 by brennon
Acolyte Miniatures have been working towards the release of some new Fantasy models which could be used on the tabletop. Their newest preview focuses on the Wizard.
He looks like a fantastic character, casting a flurry of spells from his outstretched hand while it grapples with power in the other. I like all the bits and pieces on his outfit and that cape is going to be wonderful for those who like freehand work.
As well as the Wizard a little while back they showed off a preview for their Ranger.
Once again we've got a neat looking character for your role-playing games. I like the leaf-style armour which is very reminiscent of the art style from D&D 4th Edition. The big branch bow is also very cool indeed.
What do you think?

love the detail on the models.
They look fantastic.
I’m still waiting for their Rogue to get released. She’s such a cool character, with her pipe and crossbow.
Good looking CAD images. I’m interested to see how the physical minis turn out. Not a fan of the rangers bow
same here
Nice minis, although the wizard kinda looks like he’s trying and failing to do the Vulcan salute. ;p
The bow on the elf is an interesting idea although it looks a tad too unrefined for an elf. It also looks a bit impractical as the branches sticking out of it would be more liable to snag on bushes and trees as he moves through the forrest compared to a crafted bow.
love that the spellcaster is carry around books the same way a soldier might carry around ammo packs!
I have too many miniatures to paint, oh the pain . . . but I don’t mind picking these up.
Very cool! 🙂
I’d prefer a more usual shape for the Elven bow, but otherwise they look superb
