Puppets War Cast A Spell With The Release Of Their Sorceresses
August 15, 2016 by dracs
Puppets War have released their new unit of sorceresses, ready to weave their magic on the tabletop.
Puppets War have gone for a rather unique look for these Sorceresses. Usually, when you picture a sorceress, you probably imagine flowing robes and staffs. When I first saw these previewed, I thought they were rogue style figures.
They are dressed in far more workmanlike style than your usual sorceress (corset not withstanding) and could fit in with a rougher setting like that of The Witcher.
What are your thoughts on Puppets War's new magic weavers?

They’re looking good, Am I the only one who is reminded of Triss and Yennefer from the Witcher games?
The plural of both sorcerer and sorceress is sorceri.
Swap those swords for some cutlasses and you have yourself a kind of piratey warband for Frostgrave.
Yarrr!
Oh pirates would be could.
frostgrave!
still no match to a drunken hennight?
nice stuff and like the comments above: Frostgrave!
Very cool stuff! Don’t like how the swords hang off the hip though. They should have gone full blown Witcher and had them strapped to their back. You could probably cut them off and no one would be the wiser though.
I’m fairly certain that from the greens/sprues pics they have shown and the way they are sticking out from the legs that they are a separate piece; so it would be no effort at all to add them to their backs instead 🙂
I can see who I’m painting as Triss and Yennifer; haven’t 100% decided on who I’m going to make into Ciri… Thoughts?
looking good
Those look great, I can see trying to add some spell effects coming out of their fingers with a bit of green stuff. Beyond my skill, but others could pull it off.
Those do look really nice.
I’ll be having those. 🙂
