Brother Vinni Sculpt Spanish Roderleros For Your Conquests
December 13, 2024 by brennon
Brother Vinni released a new set of Historical 28mm miniatures in resin for those looking to set out on a few missions of Conquest. Their set of Rodeleros is now available to pick up from their webstore.
Rodelero // Brother Vinni
Rodeleros stands for Shield Bearers but they were also called Espadachines which means swordsmen. They were Spanish troops of the 16th Century and popped up in the 17th Century as well for a time. They were armed with swords and carried the steel shields known as rodela.

The set comes with enough resin miniatures to make a bodyguard for one of your characters in a game set during the course of the Italian Wars perhaps. You would also see them doing well as part of Hernán Cortés' band of marauders that headed to the New World. Nearly 1000 of his men would have been equipped as such.

Mix these in with the plastic miniatures from Wargames Atlantic and you'd have some good options to use as leaders for units or as previously mentioned, bodyguards for your captains and other war leaders. Equally, you could always go down the route of turning them into Fantasy troops. Imagine those heads as golden masks rather than bare faces!
This set of resin miniatures is available now from Brother Vinni alongside a few other Spanish releases which could be good for skirmishing warbands.
What do you make of the Rodeleros?

What’s going on here? Vinni ALWAYS sculpts NSFW stuff!
I guess he did exaggerate the codpieces a bit.
