Brother Vinni Fly The Flag For Their Own Female Brigade
October 8, 2014 by brennon
Brother Vinni continue their series of female soldiers with the Female Standard Bearer or as they themselves have touted it "model posing for Imperial army pin-up calender". Something to consider for your collection?
Not a bad sculpt when you think about it beyond the topless part. The standard looks cool and would be fun to try a bit of freehand on. The weapons look brutal and deadly and close-up she's not bad for a warrior woman. It's just a shame that after the last selection of releases which had a more realistic look to them this Standard Bearer has gone back to the pin-up look.
Maybe you could easily armour up her front to make it more in keeping with the rest of your army, or it could quite possibly be the pin-up style miniature you're looking for. The choice is yours!
Will she find a place in your army?

In the grim darkness of the far future….. there is only tits.
Hay have you seen Austen Powers they can be deadly when deployed?
Well, considering how predominantly male the grim darkness of the far future is, I’m sure that no one would know what’s going on here.
I’m not surprised to see nude pinup minis, and I’m not surprised to see minis that can easily be used in an IG force, but I’m more than a little surprised to see the two combined.
Wow, that’s cheesy.

Naff as heck. The toplessness isn’t the issue for me, just too ‘sexy’ for my liking. Still, it would fit in well with the rest of the topless Catachan ‘roid heads! 😛
That is very cheesy sculpt and I love it!.
The economic situation seems to be dire indeed for the Imperium these days if they can’t even afford shirts or proper combat leggings for their standard bearers.
Or maybe the Admech have lost so much technological know-how that they have forgotten how to cut shirts (and any trousers other than hot pants) to fit women? Maybe the Tau or the Eldar will take pity on poor under-dressed humanity and help the Imperials out with the impenetrable techno-mysteries of the tailor’s dark arts?
Ah, that’s a perfectly fluffy reason for this sculpt. Now I’m convinced that she fits right in with my Catachan-whose-flakk-armor-consists-of-a-wife-beater-shirt.
Now all we need is an HQ, a model double-wide being dragged around on a flatbed, and maybe some beer cans to shoot at when friends drop by.
