The Brood Slither & Shuffle Their Way Into Dark Age
June 7, 2017 by brennon
The folks behind Dark Age have previewed what's coming for the Brood over the rest of 2017 and into 2018. Take a look at some of the renders below showing off this creepy collection.
Leading the way we have this selection of slithering creatures, the Puds. They have come a long way since their first iteration and look decidedly disgusting! You can then get them in a lovely writhing swarm...
One of the larger beasts, brewed from terrible concoctions, is this creature, the Broodhound.
The folks behind Dark Age have said that while they are never going to stop you using your old models, they really hope you love the look of these beasts as they bring them in line with the aesthetic of the rest of the range.
Last but not least we have the Grist. It reminds me a little of some of the creatures from the new DOOM video game.
If you're interested in learning more about the Brood and their statistics then you can head on over to the link above for a quick peek.
What do you think?

Holy cow!
Those are very nice.
That would make a nifty bone devil!

great art direction!!! wow!
I love the Broodhounds ! Massive bugger.
They look great, the hound especially.
These and the Core were my faves from the Dark Age week, this is another level though. This stuff is *revolting*.
(yes meant as a compliment)
The beasts would be great for demon/death worlds and grist looks straight out of doom.
I don’t get Dark Age, everything I have heard of the background doesnt appeal and in general the minis are hit and miss for my taste, but the big beasty is a great example of the fact as a game they do have some truly outstanding minis.
I was all hyped for the new Brood but I confess I’m not entirely sold here. Seems a few clicks too far from the (Bromian) DA touch. Not so much talking about the concepts / sculpts per se (that’s a different matter) but how they fit to that specific world’s visual style (which, as always, is encompassing far more than just mere looks). Landshark Puds are an interesting thing and I think they will grow on me.
