Broken Toad’s MK2 Brushes Are Available On Their Website
May 25, 2016 by deltagamegirl22
As hobbyists, we are always on a quest for nice paint brushes and this week Broken Toad has released some very tempting ones on their website. Now you can get the Miniatures Series MK2 brushes.
These are Kolinsky Sable paintbrushes that you can purchase individually in a particular size or in one lovely box with one of each.
The sizes range from 2, 1, 0 and 3/0, so you can paint to your heart's content and get to all those fine details you want to capture on your minis.
Have you used the brushes from Broken Toad, and what'd you think?

Love my Mk1s, so when they need replacing will certainly pick up some Mk2s
Interested.They certainly look nice!
Now my painting is improving is it worth me splashing out on a set like this?
Any advice peeps?
P.S I’m currently using the Army painter brushes.
@tonysilvey Never hurts to invest in good tools for the job, practice not the brush makes you a better painter, but with practice use of a better tool makes things easier i find. So in short yes invest in some good brushes and some brush soap, i swear by this stuff:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Margateartist-The-Masters-Brush-Cleaner/dp/B005JC8NQC does wonders for restoring old brushes and keeping your good ones in tip top condition…
Switched to the MK1 after several disappointing brands and haven’t looked back. I’ll definitely give the MK2 a whirl when the time comes
Looks like something to go on my list for Santa this year.
He got me a flockbox2 last year, and the army painter mega set the year before.
I buy the minis, he does the accessories. 🙂
wow they are expensive
Sarcasm?
I’m a bit confused, because… well, £6 for a Kolinsky sable brush?
That’s dirt cheap!
I paid twice that much for W&N Series 7s and I can’t imagine that these are horrendously worse, but I’ll wait for someone to do a comparison first.
Rosemary Brushes are really good and a lot cheaper
they look great but ouch.
Ive used the Broken Toad around the time I noticed significant improvements with my painting I really enjoyed it. Significantly more than the Raphael brush that I brought recently, anyone know whats been improved in the Mk2?
