Perry Brings New British Troops Ashore During The Napoleonic War
December 12, 2016 by stvitusdancern
Perry Miniatures has a whole bunch of new releases for the Napoleonic War British. Let us start with the flat bottom long boat that comes with a twelve man crew and a Midshipmen to command the boat.
This boat takes troops and supplies from the ships anchored off the shore and gets them onto the beach so they can get into battle quickly.
Beside the boat kit, there is also an option to place infantrymen on the boat for a total of thirty-nine miniatures, pretty impressive when you think about it. The boat and crew are a combination of resin and metal and of course, are in 28mm.
Along, with the aforementioned miniatures, there are also sailors in different poses and actions. These sets bring such a great change in the typical lines of infantry facing off against each other on a battlefield.
This just goes to show you that there is such a wide range that fits into this time period, you can be working on different miniatures for quite some time.
Do you command armies in this era?

The Long boat mini, is typical of the Perry’s beautiful work. If I ever that the leap into the world of Napoleonics or Black Powder I will be all over their minis like a pox doctor in a house of ill repute
Absolutely amazing imagine 4 or 5 of these on a display board like a scene from Hornblower
looks good and full of details.
Would look great for 28mm beach landing diorama, Think I might get some for future piece that is starting to take shape in a distant corner of my walnut brain that deals exclusively with model making. Bit desciriptive that wasn’t it, mmmmm?
