The Bringer Of Death Swings His Axe In Acolyte Miniatures Preview
May 28, 2015 by brennon
Adding to their 72mm Prestige Range of miniatures Acolyte have shown off the work-in-progress 3D work on The Bringer of Death. I wouldn't want to get on the wrong side of this bloodthirsty warrior... He is one deadly looking fellow with a blood drenched axe (I hope that's sculpted on) and a rather cruel looking shield. I love the design of the helmet and I think the Roman-esque armour works nicely as it seems fitting for a Gladiator. It's neat to see the addition of the over emphasised muscles too which would be fun for a painter to get stuck into to give him some extra weight and presence on the tabletop. What do you think?

He’d make a hefty giant in a 28mm world!
That looks just plain awesome!
That looks fantastic; lovely weight and balance in the pose. Except for the gravity-defying pony tail which is slightly off putting. A minor detail that can be easily fixed though and doesn’t take away from what’s a great sculpt.
like.
