Bring Brazilian Howitzers To The Perry’s War Of The Triple Alliance
March 8, 2021 by brennon
Perry Miniatures has been working hard on building up their Historical War Of The Triple Alliance range of later with new troops and more for the various countries involved. It wouldn't be a war without some artillery and so new 28mm Brazilian Mountain Howitzers have popped up!

Described as "cute but deadly", these guns have been designed for use with the Brazilian armies fighting during the War Of The Triple Alliance. There are two different options for you to dig out from their collection.

One has the crew ready to fire and waiting for the boom whilst the other has the crew at the ready, loading the gun and sighting their enemy. Mountain Guns have been used throughout history and these French offerings would have been lightweight and easy to transport.

The Brazilians would have made good use of these French guns in their battles against the Paraguayans, Argentinians and Uruguayans. As we've stated in the past, this is a war that might be pretty new to a lot of people. It is well worth exploring considering the way it shaped Central and South America!
Which country would you fight for during this conflict?

I’d not say they were adorable if I’d just received the order to “take those guns” but …
don’t cry for me Argentina…..very nice. I will have to look into this conflict.
Very cool – I had been considering the South American Wars of Independence as a means of dipping my toe into Napoleonics but with the way the range seems to be filling out I’m increasingly moving more and more towards the War of The Triple Alliance (even if it is a later period). I’ll get to Naps eventually but for now, stuff like this just looks to good to pass up.
@bigdave
