Bloody Miniatures Call On The Witchfinder General!
May 1, 2023 by brennon
Bloody Miniatures are back to bolster your 28mm English Civil War collection with some brand-new miniatures. Nick Collier has been working on the latest set of miniatures starting off with a neat set focused on The Witchfinder General.
The Witchfinder General // Bloody Miniatures
This dastardly inquisitor is wandering the land looking for people to burn and/or toss into jail. The set comes with the fearsome individual himself alongside a clerk who is consulting the books and making sure that they have met their quota for the week (probably). You've then got a trooper who is watching over the affair and keeping the crowd at bay. Finishing things off, there is the unfortunate "Wench" who was probably just doing her best to keep the locals hearty and healthy.
The next set is a band of Pikemen who have been sculpted as if they are in the middle of a brutal and bloody (hah) scrap.
The Pikemen en Melee // Bloody Miniatures
These fellows have broken away from their regiment and found themselves stuck in the mire, fighting with whatever they can get their hands on. They have small swords, daggers, axes and even the deadly end of a pike. When the push breaks down and the red mist descends, you'll do whatever you can to make sure that you get to the end of the day.
If you want to call on some help from afar then you can also play around with The Continental Mercenaries.

Some solid options for those wanting to get the vibe of The Thirty Years War. Grizzled, battle-hardened and with grim determination, these fellows are going to be great if you're looking to introduce some well-trained skirmishers into the mix. They have been posed on the charge with hammers, swords and pistols at the ready.
Last but not least, you have The Ragged Trayned Band.

Shabby, slovenly and with ill-fitting gear, these soldiers have either been drafted in by some poor noble or have been fighting for a very, very, very long time on the battlefield. They are using antiquated matchlock rifles and muskets and I would guess that a lot of their clothing has probably been stolen from the unfortunate dead. A great set of miniatures for those looking to add character and depth to their English Civil War army.
All of these miniatures should be coming out later this month so watch out for more this May!
