BlackChapel’s New Heroes Tinker & Bring Out The Hammers
August 9, 2015 by brennon
BlackChapel Miniatures have got three new awesome additions to their collection. The Warrior Priest, Honor Guard and Alchemist are all ready to be dropped into your skirmish scale warband games and mass battle ones as characters too...
Hammer Time?
First up we have two hammer wielding fellows who will no doubt be making sure justice is dealt out in equal measure for both of their Gods. The Warrior Priest would be a good follower of Sigmar in games of Warhammer Fantasy, and maybe even Age of Sigmar.
The Honour Guard is much more in tune with the White Wolf and Ulric, if you're going by Warhammer lore of course. I think both models are superb and mark their range out as something to watch as it grows and grows.
I like that the models are plain enough to fit into a range of different armies but with those few touches that fans of existing game properties can latch onto and make their own.
Boom Goes The Medicine?
If you prefer to do a bit of tinkering around with potions and the like then see what you make of the Alchemist here who has no doubt just been testing out some terrible concoctions on the enemy,..
I could see this particular chap as someone who becomes the focus of a scenario on the tabletop. Maybe your warbands stumble upon a blasted house and it becomes apparent the Alchemist has something fun and explosive in his arsenal.
You then have to track him down while he runs for his life, tossing out a myriad of different potions as he goes in the hopes of slowing you down.
What do you think?

Those look really good.
They do indeed look great. Just had a quick look at their website too – lots of good stuff there too.
Perhaps the Warhammer World is going to get a bit of a community and third party manufacturer renaisance now that GW have finished with it? It might be just what the setting needed!
Outside input would create welcome change. Seems GW lost their way with fantasy over the last few years. Gamezone makes a mounted version of the priest that is fabulous.

I’m seeing a lot of cool fantasy miniatures recently and with Dungeon Saga imminent and, hopefully Heroquest as well I can see me really jumping back into fantasy miniatures in a big way!
Oh, and did I mention my Battle Systems Dungeon arrived last week 🙂
Very nice mini’s and the stuff in their range looks very good too.
they look good.
Great find Ben! I was really wrestling with paying ~$28AU for a GW Warrior Priest.
