Black Site Studios Tease New Diceless Fantasy Wargame, Yafsiga

Black Site Studios has been teasing a new Fantasy wargame complete with 32mm miniatures called Yafsiga!

The strapline for this particular game is "Riches and Renown await amidst crumbling ruins and an eldritch bloom…". Pretty cool and ominous and I feel like I'm getting some Mordheim/Frostgrave vibes from the game at the moment.

One of the interesting things about the game is that it has been designed as a diceless experience. I am very interested to see how that gets represented on the tabletop. Will this be done with cards or some other set of mechanics?
The game will feature warbands pitted against each other in head-to-head skirmishes akin to skirmish games of old and the miniatures are currently looking pretty awesome!

As well as these renders here which show off a number of the upcoming characters, we also saw a painted version that popped up on Facebook. I am loving the grimdark vibe going on with the design that leans more toward the Dark Souls/Elden Rings aesthetic. Phwoar.

More is coming up for Yafsiga later this month and into June so watch out for previews and sneak peeks. Black Site Studios have really been churning out the quirky wargames at the moment alongside a whole host of models. I am eager to see what they do within the Fantasy genre.
Are you liking the current aesthetic of Yafsiga?

sounds interesting.
Game launches on 6/3.
I love there other games will most likely back this one too. Although, I am going to miss not having dice.
In the Russian game system known interchangeably as бронепехота (armored infantry), Robogear or старсис (star sys[tems]), you can determine combat outcome by either actually shooting the models with little spring-powered cannon that launch plastic projectiles – like I used to do as a kid – or by rolling dice.
Shooting not recommended after you’ve painted the figures…..
I remember Robogear. Those kits where great for converting to Ork vehicles. I did build a Stompa from one set… never painted it though…
I’m going to use some of their Warwalkers as Bauhaus Vulkan Battlesuits. Many бронепехота models look VERY similar to Warzone figures, if taller at about 37 mm.
I watched the live introduction to this game/rules system.
I’m interested.
I will probably buy a copy of the book.

Black Site Studios has brought us some fantastic terrain and gaming systems. I have yet to buy a bad product from them.
There is a demo play though on yourtube… I enjoyed it and that`s coming from a “dice guy”…also the story of the game is about a cosmic magic event effecting the lands and the heroes encountering a “strange new world” around them… something like that…
