Black Scorpion’s Native Tribes Take On The Wild West
January 31, 2019 by brennon
Black Scorpion has finished off the last of their releases for the recent Tombstone wave with a warband of Natives. They are, as you might imagine, led by a Chief who is looking rather awesome.
The new resin releases look like they've got plenty of detail worked into them and they are going to take paint very well indeed. I love that you get to work with natural colours on Native Americans but also plenty of bright ones too, in addition to white, when it comes to feathers and the like.
The Chief is backed up by his Deputy who looks like a young buck who is fairly brutal, eager to prove himself against other gangs and these European interlopers from across the sea.
Both of these characters are then backed up by a selection of individually sculpted miniatures that will act as their followers as they go about their business.
There are a variety of different weapon options included here include their traditional bows and arrows plus some weapons they have claimed from the invaders, namely revolvers and rifles.
Once again we're seeing plenty of fur on parade here which is a really nice way to provide focal points on a miniature. It draws the eye and is also very easy to make look awesome. I've mentioned it before, but I love that they're all so individual. It's exactly what you need for a smaller scale skirmish game.
We've seen the Lawmen, Outlaws, Mexicans and now the Natives now from Black Scorpion. If you're looking to delve back into Legends Of The West or Black Scorpion's own game, Tombstone, you now have a variety of different options.
What do you make of these Native Americans?

Pretty cool models. Considering converting them to fit my ratskins gang for necromunda.
Fabulous looking chief an warrior leader.
Those look really nice.
Black Scorpion are my favorite when it comes to auxiliary real scale/historic minis.
