Black Scorpion Lay Down The Law In Tombstone
March 29, 2017 by brennon
The Black Scorpion team shared another preview for you this week ahead of their Tombstone Kickstarter. This time we're checking out the Lawmen...
Here we have the Lawman in traditional attire with his big long duster coat. I love this look from the Wild West, it always just oozes cool. You have to commend this fellow on his magnificent facial hair too.
He also comes mounted up on his horse if you need to head out onto the dusty trail in search of bandits.
Hopefully, back in town, the Deputy is also going to be able to keep everything together. This fellow looks a little shifty though and I like the idea of adding in some backstory where this chap is in the pocket of the Outlaws and he's working behind the scenes to bring down the Lawmen of the town!
However, there are quite a few extra Lawmen around watching his every move. Maybe some of them are even in his employ and there's a grudge match bubbling under the surface here.
I Am The Law
Just because these sets are all put forward with specific character choices doesn't mean you can't mix and match things, however. The different figure packs for the factions could have your Leader amongst them.
For example, I like the idea of the chap in the top hat (first image) being the more gentrified leader of a Lawman gang. Maybe he usually frequents the cities and larger towns and feels somewhat out of place on the dusty roads of the Wild West.
There's plenty of character on show across the entire range and it would be great to see them expand upon this with extra packs as the campaign unfolds.
Maybe, as a big fan of Red Dead Redemption, we'll see some characters from that coming to life in some way like John Marston, Red Harlow and Shadow Wolf.
What do you think?

the pinkertons?
Im getting a Hell On Wheels vibe with the Marshalls turning up on a train to upset the locals and with their fast and very loose version of law and order.
My first Old West minis were a posse of Lawmen- these days, I tend to operate on the other side of the Law… Fantastic sculpts, though!
