Black Hussar Gather Soldiers For The Wars Of German Unification
January 11, 2016 by brennon
Black Hussar Miniatures have added some previews of what's coming up this year. See what you think of their soldiers from The Wars Of German Unification who look like they are on the march...
According to a very quick scan of the internet the Wars Of German Unification were a series of very complicated wars with plenty of different sides all vying for control of Austria, Prussia and more. The models have the very typical spiked helms that you'd associate with German troops.
You can see from the description that these are the Prussian Infantry on the march so hopefully that means we're going to get firing models too in the near future.
Is this an era of history you've played out?

Interesting point of note, they’re also planning Danish troops for 1864!!!
Nice looking miniatures.
The wars weren’t complicated. Only 3 wars belonged to the Wars of German Unification. German-Danish War (1864), The German War (Prussia vs. Austria, 1866) and the German-French war (1870/71). No long campaigns. Nothing complicate 😉
It’s can interesting period with some huge battles. If f anyone is interested Bloody big battles by Chris Pringle allows you to play these on a 6×4 or 8×5
