Big Vehicles Hit The Webstore For Mantic Games’ Warpath
July 13, 2017 by brennon
Mantic Games are beefing up the armies for Warpath with some great new vehicles on their webstore as part of the pre-orders before a release later this year.
Leading the way for the Enforcers we have this rather awesome variant of the Strider known as the Ajax Siege Strider. It comes with a heavy shield for deflecting incoming fire and the grav-ram spear can then smash its way through vehicles and fortifications alike.
Covering you from the skies there is also the Accuser Interceptor/Persecutor Bomber.
As an advanced flyer, this will be protecting your troops as they disembark and get ready for a fight and make sure the enemy doesn't bring too many guns to bear. The design of it is fantastic, mixing the hard edges of military technology with some sleek angles and curves.
Forge Father Heavy Metal
Preferring to keep to the ground the Forge Fathers also have some great vehicles including the Sturnhammer Battle Tank.
The Heavy Hailstorm Cannon will blast apart most foes if they find themselves set before the sights of the gunner. It's neat to see the design of the 'beard' being carried over into this tank with the frontage looking like the armoured faceplates of the Forge Fathers.
You can see it more on their Drakkar APC too which will be delivering your soldiers into the fighting.
This vehicle acts as a safe and reliable way to drop your troops into battle and the slant of the hull should also help deflect some of the shots coming its way. The armies for Warpath really are growing now!
Look for these vehicles and more to begin shipping out in early August.
Have you decided on a faction for Warpath yet?

Those are some very nice vehicles.
great Vehicles’ the tanks are the best looking
I love the flyer, less keen on the others. WarPath really appeals at times, but I haven’t yet found a force that has enough models I love in it…
Can’t help but notice that they’re priced the same as GW stuff… in fact the Forgefather APC is more expensive than the Rhino…
That depends solely on where you live, GW pricing in the UK is much cheaper than worldwide. GW Rhino £22.50 GBP on the web store which should equal $37.62 AUD – Nope GW charge $55.00 AUD locally in Australia. *cough* price fixing in the colonies *cough* I just pre-ordered the 3 pack of Drakkars for £69.99 = $117.03 AUD – much better value for me than 3 Rhino’s for $165.00 AUD. 3 x APC’s are 3 x APC’s right? I do concede your point if your UK based £22.50 GBP versus £24.99 GBP so +£2.49 delta 🙂 However I do… Read more »
I don’t mind the APC and the dropship. The rest, not so much.
Multiple main armament barrels? Doesn’t look right, and not practical. Smaller chain guns and gatling guns… OK.
Two pet peeves: tall mechs on the battlefield when low silhouette equals greater survivability (at least currently) and melee weapons FFS. On a mech?
Also, price has already been mentioned. If I’m going to spend dumb money on a vehicle I would sooner get a GW one, or someone else’s.
Also, I just noticed that the armour is layered the wrong way. The overlap actually creates a shot trap. No suspension of disbelief.
To be fair its not like GW do much better with ammo placed on doors etc. I think Mantic are much more restrained with this stuff making simpler silhouettes and cleaner surfaces. There is so much unnecessary detail on most modern gw designs.
I got one of the flyers already from going in on the kickstarter and it is a really nice kit. I actually regretted not getting more as part of it as there was a pretty well priced bundle of 3 as an add on. I’ve mine modelled with no weapons as I’m using it as terrain representing a parked shuttle. I was waiting to see what price these were releasing at to possibly add one or two more and create a bussy space port or transit area. £25 pound is ok, on the edge but ok. “Should convert to around… Read more »
I backed the kickstarter and got Enforcers to go with my Deadzone army. I also got four of the interceptors – lovely kits to put together (I’ve assembled 3/4 so far) – they look great and I built the three variants we got as part of the kickstarter. The Srtiders are also nice looking kits the one above has extra armour, but they are essentially the same kit as the Deadzone one.
I’m not massively keen on the Forge Father tanks, I think it’s the overlapping armour plates. I’m also not sold on the Siege Strider, although I don’t mind the regular versions with the ranged weapons. I do however quite like the Enforcer aircraft however, having seen previews of the GCPS models I like those even more and will probably wait for those to come out.
Don’t know why they think they can get away with Pound to Dollar conversion being more than double what it actually is. 30 quid should be $39, not $50.
I used to be a huge proponent of Mantic, but I can’t keep defending the constant missteps delivering warpath and dreadball 2 to KS backers, and at these prices they’ll be lucky if people give Warpath more than a sideways glance before going to play 40k v8.
That Walker is hideous. Looks like someone painted a lego bionicle figure – and you’d probably be able to buy the Lego box for less!
The silhouette of the forgefather tank is quite nice, but the details let it down. I’ve never felt Mantic had their heart in sci-fi, and their vehicles gave never disproven this IMHO.
I quite like the coorporation flyer; it appeals to me in that it could be used as scenary as a budget dropship of some kind to stick on the table. It would have been nice if the website had some more angles; I would have liked to see what it looked like around the back or even when it’s landed. The walker seems fine to me; I’m not sure why people are quite as upset with it being a melee one, because it is also sold with ranged weapons. The tanks seem fine; they seem to give off Jayce and… Read more »
That’s exactly why I am interested in these models – as scenery. But if you’re looking for a dropship I would hang fire until they release the GCPS vehicles as they have an actual drop ship as part of their range. They also have some wheeled vehicles that look a little like Warthogs off Halo.
Budget dropship: Marvel’s Quinjet, $13.20. I plan to pick up three of them for platoon transport when I get further along with my lead/plastic mountain.

It might just be me, but whenever using “toys” for scenary, they always seem to stand out as “toys”.
That said, it is useful to have that link and shows an even more budgety dropship scenery option.
My plan would be to strap some proper weapons to it, maybe a GW lascannon and rocket pods. Bits World will be taking a few dollars off me for those things… and then there’s the paint. It’s a future project, but I’ll be sure to post pics of the finished models when it happens.
That APC is (saw) boss!

That was exactly how i wanted the link to look
Excited for this release, grabbed both planes and tanks to pad out our Operation Heracles mega starter set. Been enjoying the game so far looking forward to adding these vehicles into the mix.
