Ares Games’ Battlestar Galactica: Starship Battles On The Horizon
April 11, 2018 by brennon
If you've wanted to battle in space with Vipers and Cylon Raiders then you're in luck as Ares Games are going to be bringing you Battlestar Galactica: Starship Battles this year, to be presented first at Gen Con!
Andrea Angiolino and Andrea Mainini are at the helm who created both Wings Of Glory and Sails Of Glory. So, you know these fellows know what to do when it comes to fighters battling it out on the tabletop.
The game will cover both the classic series and the reimagined one that I would assume most people are familiar with. You can see some of the prototype ships above but have no fear as the actual game will feature pre-painted and pre-assembled miniatures for you to take to deep space with.
They are looking to try and emulate the unique way that the ships fight in the TV show and hopefully bring that to the tabletop. We hope to learn more about it at Gen Con!
What do you think of the news?

Will be good to see how the afterburner gets put in to the game.
I would actually be happy if they made this as a punch-out card build-your-model type game, like pirates or that star wars one.
For those interested, and interview with the designers is available and they stated their will be Capital Ships coming in later waves

Pre-painted Battlestar Galactica ships, i’m so in 😀 , it’s my next sci-fi love after Star Wars.
Time to break out the series soundtracks. Awesome to listen to
Only Fighters to be seen…The Ships will be coming sooner or later. Looks like something to keep my eye on.
I’m interested, but only if they also do the classic ships as well. I wasn’t a huge fan of how they ended the 2004-2009. The first two seasons were really good though.
