Battle Zombie Hordes In Hayland Terrain’s Skirmish Ragers

Hayland Terrain are on Kickstarter right now with a campaign for a new miniatures game and a set of 28mm miniatures! Skirmish Ragers is a new zombie-slaying skirmish game where you'll be battling shambling Zeds and terrifying, speedy Ragers in a world on the brink of the apocalypse.

Skirmish Ragers is a skirmish game where you take on the role of a band of survivors trying to take back the world from the living dead. The rules for Skirmish Ragers are a complete collection of what you'd need for one-off games or a big campaign where you fight your way through a (hopefully) long zombie apocalypse.

The Kickstarter aims to get the Starter Set produced and also make the range of Survivors bigger so you've got lots of options. The zombies found within the Starter Set are hard plastic and the survivors are all in metal. There are also additional stretch goal zombies available as part of the campaign, also made in metal.
The Stretch Goals are great as they give you options to get characters as survivors OR zombies (or both) so you can follow their fate after they get chomped on in the back of a superstore. You can also get an add-on of a whole bunch more zombies with sixty of them being available for just an extra £25.
This looks like a great little campaign to fund a new indie title and get more fun metal (and plastic) miniatures to the tabletop. With spooky season rolling around soon, it seems like this might be a good project to get stuck into.

Nice packaging. A bit of a lack of info about the game, though I’m presuming it’s solo/co-op.
OK I had another look. It’s a repackage of the Zombie port of Skirmish Sangin. It’s available already, as are the plastic zombies (I think these are ones Hayland picked up from … Studio Miniatures). So the new bits are some new survivor minis and some cards and tokens. I got all this from a vid from Indie-Invasion Podcast. I’m happy to sit this one out but it may tickle some of your fancy.

Already have plenty of zombie games and still haven’t played them. Even moreso dice-based mechanics.
Good review, cheers. That’s another point against for me. After a week’s work I haven’t got the brain left for that sort of thing.

That’s a swanky package. It’s just right for prepping for the Zombie outbreak. With some time taken to paint it should allow you to decompress when the shamblers are right outside.

Neat package. Reminds me of the very old Car Wars $5 boxes, plus a bag for toys.
