Avatars Of War has taken to Kickstarter to show off a new set of 3D Printable miniatures for you to use when building up your 28mm Fantasy armies. Sticking with a bit of a greenskin vibe for Orctober, we have The Stone Trolls!

This gives you eleven new STL Files for you to use when making an awesome set of Stone Trolls. If you're playing the likes of The 9th Age or you're preparing a new army for Warhammer: The Old World, these could be right up your street. Smash your opponents to pieces and turn them into jelly with these nice Warhammer-inspired monsters.

With so many Stone Trolls for you to scoop up and make into regiments, you'll have some very dynamic-looking armies. You often don't need that many monstrous creatures in your army so you might want to just use these to do a bit of mixing and matching. Additionally, whilst this might be the case for Warhammer Fantasy when using these for the likes of Kings Of War, you can have a lot more fun with the layout of your regiments thanks to the idea of working with footprints.

Adding another dose of awesomeness to the Kickstarter, the team have unlocked some ace Vomiting Trolls into the mix. These are going to be great for including at the front of your regiments to showcase some Trolls turning foes into a mushy and very bloody puddle.

Another fun miniature that has been unlocked is the Stupidity Marker which can be put in a unit when it has failed to do what you asked of it! This happens more often than I think most generals hope and at least with this, you'll have something fun to laugh about in the moment.

There are also some additional releases which are going to be suitably awesome for any army embracing the Goblin side of things to its entirety. What about this Goblin Launcher which would be a good stand-in for your classic Doom Diver in Warhammer Fantasy Battles.

Sticking with that vibe of Goblins, we also have Skrigg Dwarfmocker that you can scoop up to help lead your army. He seems like a suitably deadly foe for you to pit against Dwarven armies. I can sense a grudge brewing!

Sticking with the vibe of Dwarves, you can also pick up The Trollbane Brotherhood. If you're backing the Kickstarter and you feel bad for your wargaming friend who collects Dwarves, this could be a fun addition to use as a present.

Some nice designs and good ways for you to play around with adding character to your Slayer-themed force if you were playing something Warhammer-related. With The Old World coming relatively soon, picking up nice alternative miniatures like these seems like a great way to go, perhaps to plug some of the gaps in your collection. With the prices of older metal and plastic miniatures skyrocketing on eBay, 3D Printing some nice miniatures for your army seems like a good way to go.
