A Battle Between Angels & Demons Erupts From The Edge On Kickstarter
March 4, 2015 by brennon
The impressive world of The Edge is now up on Kickstarter from Awaken Realms where Angels do battle with Demons and it's all very, very, very awesome looking from a miniatures point of view...
The Chapter & Demons are the two factions that will be fighting it out on the skirmish level battlefields. The focus of the game is to control crystals on board and then use them to cast your spells and command your minions. The world itself is quite neat too with a post-apocalyptic steampunk feel to it, as you can see from the big Mechanical Angel of Death.
Awaken Realm were previously a painting studio and wanted to bring both a sense of grandeur and of course a neat game with their own ideas and story to the tabletop. I certainly think they've got the miniatures nailed down as looking awesome and we hope that the gameplay is just as good.
As you can see the Angel of Death looks superb once painted up, but what would you expect from a painting company? These guys are very close to bursting their goal (at the time of writing) so keep an eye on their progress as they start to look at stretch goals too.
What do you think so far?

Those look stunning.
£35 for the angel of death, ouch. Still want it though!
may be worth a look at.
Shame I can’t afford to back as the angel of death looks great. Would love to have a go painting it.
Great models, especially the Angel of Death, and what seems to be the makings of a very interesting setting, but the trailer (with its awful sub-Christian Bale batman voiceover work) has to be one of the most annoying things I have listened to in a while. It also doesn’t help that the music gets so loud at one point that you can’t even hear what he is saying in his irritatingly overblown tones.
Still, they are making a tabletop skirmish game, not an animated series, so it doesn’t matter all that much.
