Bandua Wargames Design New Tokens For WWII Wargaming
July 24, 2018 by brennon
Bandua Wargames have popped together some new tokens you could use as objective markers, activation tokens and more for your World War II games. The tokens cover the entire gambit of nations from the battles of the Mid-20th Century so you should find something that works for your force.
The various pre-coloured methacrylate tokens feature the flags and insignia of a variety of the different forces from the war.
You get three of them in a set so you might need to buy a few if you're planning to use them as activation tokens and the like. They seem a good fit with both 28mm Bolt Action and the smaller scale 15mm Flames Of War to note two different games.
Currently, they have designs for the British, Americans, Germans, USSR, Australians, Canadians, French, Italians and the Japanese as well as a set of larger blast templates. All of these new products can be found HERE on their webstore.
The one quibble I would have is that for the German ones it looks to me as if the circles are slightly off centre. Can you folks see that?
Would you find a use for these?

Well they could be handy for any game for marking different Thing’s
The Allied (not just US) stars look off-centre too.
They do look off center but I wonder if that is an optical illusion given the angle the photo was taken from?
Personally I don’t really see the point of these. They look uninspired and are sending mixed messages – are they showing countries or national military symbols? Well both so… They don’t have any particular function and are expensive, e.g. for roughly twice the price you can get a full set from Battlefront which are actually useful in FoW.
