Bad Squiddo Release New Warrior Woman With Mary The Knight
January 31, 2016 by brennon
Bad Squiddo Games have added another miniature to their Female Miniatures collection. Mary the Knight has been sculpted by Mark Evans and painted by Paul Cubbin and could be used throughout a few different Medieval periods and of course Fantasy settings too...
Here's some of the background they have come up with for her...
"Mary is a lady of few words. By lady, I mean “Lady”. Rumour has it she is of noble blood, there are all sorts of threads around her history which point in a certain way, but have never been confirmed. She never discusses it, but perhaps that is because Mary is Queen of one thing – disguise. Some naysayers remark she is no more than a peasant, self taught in weaponry as well as the social airs and graces."
I'm getting a very Brienne of Tarth feeling from her and you could probably get away with painting her up as such. I have to commend the work on the armour here by Cubbins as it really does look superb and I couldn't achieve that look!
Will you be picking her up?

looks good for a Joan of arc? type.
I think the paint job is flattering the model a little. The pose looks a little wooden and at £4 I reckon you can do better from Hassle Free Miniatures. Unless you want sword and shield; HF are a bit light on those
