So what is Trailer Park Warlords Of The Apocalypse (TPWotA)? Well, in the far future it seems like gangs have come together to build absolute massive Mega Trailer Parks across the countryside. These HUGE settlements have become lawless places where you'll be doing whatever you can in order for you to survive. That seems like a ripe place for a clash between gangers, warriors, reavers, plunderers and more.

Trailer Park Warlords Of The Apocalypse - Gameplay

What's quite nice about this game is that they have gone down the zany and quirky side of things when it comes to the Post Apocalypse. There is a focus on it being fun and scenario-focused where it's as much about telling a story as it is trying to pummel your opponents on the tabletop.

Warbands of humans or perhaps more bizarre characters like mutants, intelligent animals, sentient plants and robots are made up of around five to ten miniatures per side meaning that you're not going to be spending long making your warband. Whilst there are options to buy pre-made warbands and miniatures from Bad Goblin, the team are eager for you to tell your own stories and kitbash your own miniatures too.

If you're interested in learning more about the background of the game and what inspired it, you can check out the video below...

Trailer Park Warlords Of The Apocalypse - What Do You Need To Play

There is also a great video (above) looking at the core of what you'd need to play the game. The playing space is as small as 3x3 but it can also go up to 8x4 if you want to make it a big, complex game. Games should also take only around one-to-two hours to play.

Playing Trailer Park Warlords Of The Apocalypse

So what makes TPWotA worth diving into? Well, the core mechanics are focused around d10 and the core of gameplay is quite easy to pick up and play. Combat is designed to be fun and packed with neat moments as well as ways for even the lowliest character to do something epic.

The game also features the inclusion of Initiative Bidding where you'll be bidding each round in order to see who activates their gang. This gives, as they have mentioned a "game within a game" feel meaning that you'll be trying to work out the best way to bluff your opponents.

You'll also find the use of Apocalypse Cards in-game which start to play around with the Post-Apocalyptic elements of this game. These can grant special abilities, situations and modifications to your gameplay and they can also be used to change rolls in your favour! Additionally, there are also the very fun Mechanisms, Morphologies, and Mutations. This can change things in your favour although because this is random it might mean that things are not entirely helpful for you!

As you can see, the folks a Bad Goblin Games have put together some great videos discussing just how the turn sequence works above. The explanation takes under eight minutes so it seems like getting stuck into gameplay shouldn't take too long at all!

If you want more information, you can check out the Facebook Group for the game and more on their YouTube Channel.

Trailer Park Warlords Of The Apocalypse - Pledges

When it comes to diving into the game on Kickstarter, you have a few options...

Pledge Levels

Pledge Levels - Trailer Park Warlords Of The Apocalypse

You are going to be able to bid for the Core Rulebook, the Apocalypse Cards, Mechanisms, Morphologies and Mutations Cards and more from the folks at Bad Goblin Games. In addition to the gubbins that you need to actually play the game, you can also get your hands on physical miniatures from Trenchworx Miniatures OR STL Files if you prefer.

Roadkill

Some of the miniatures can be seen here already, showing off the quirky side of the game and what you're getting yourselves into. I think I'd have to go down the route of running with the Roadkill faction simply so I could have fun with a rocket launcher-armed Chicken!

Fellowship Of The Tin Star

In addition to crafting the book, the decks and the miniatures, the campaign is also going to offer some fun extras. You'll be able to pick up Initiative Dials and Initiative Trackers plus look ahead to Stretch Goals including new gangs, bonus miniatures and more. Make sure to keep an eye on the campaign to find out what's coming out when and how you can get your hands on it.

Funds from the campaign are going to be going towards art, design and more as you help bring the game to life. If this one seems like it could be fun for you then I'd suggest giving the videos a watch and diving in to support the campaign!
