Do you remember Buzz!? In the early 2000's a series of button-pushing quiz games were released on the PlayStation 2. Players would compete to win a game show, by spamming their big red in front of them whilst journeying through a series of minigames. I poured hours into many different Buzz! games, and even reignited my love for the different releases with my friends at university later down the line.

Snap Finger Click are the team behind Buzz!, and they have taken their ideas from the digital and on to the physical. Bringing a card game adaptation to 2018 video quiz game, Awkward to Kickstarter.

Over on Steam, you can feast your eyes on Awkward. Throughout the game, players will need to make assumptions on questions. But the further the game goes on, the more awkward these questions will become. You will be posed questions alike:

How would you feel if your dad dated someone the same age as you?

Would you rather accidentally set fire to your own house or to your best friend's house?

Have you ever found the parent of a friend sexually attractive?

With these questions, opponents must guess the outcome depending on the person the question is aimed at. Making your friends and family squirm under pressure from being called out publicly. Anybody who guesses correctly will be rewarded with one Wick Point and the first one who gains 10 points is your socially vigilant champ.

They are sure to prompt laughs, questioning and a lot of smiling around the table, similar to the likes of other adult card games such as Cards Against Humanity.

The Kickstarter Campaign has a ton of different pledges depending if you want to have a copy digitally, PDF printable, just the deck, Deluxe, with expansions, for retailers - you name it! With two stretch goals adding quality upgrades and more cards to the deck, and more Social challenges with more information provided in the Awkward Discord Server.

With 5 days left on the clock, who doesn't love a bit of public embarrassment at a social gathering when all of you are under the magnifying glass?

How well do you think you know your friends?
