Avatars Of War Release Their Spiffing Lord Of Castria
March 12, 2014 by brennon
Avatars of War are delving into another new fantasy faction for their world of Warthrone. Drawing on that swashbuckling Spanish look we have the Lord of Castria.
This chap is, naturally, quite well detailed from what we can see (something we've come to expect from Avatars of War) but I would have liked to see it look a bit more dynamic. I know that he is a general so he should be looking more tactical but it would be fun to have an alternative sculpt with his sword drawn, egging his enemy on.
From a range of concept art that we've seen over the past few months we have a lot to look forward to. Riflemen, Swordsmen and much more are on the way with plenty of twiddling mustaches for added effect.
Avatars of War therefore could find themselves being a great alternative supplier for your Empire army with a bit more of an Estalian slant.
What do you think?

Nice model and even nicer to here there are more in this range to come. One of my ambitions is to build a Pizarro/Cortez style conquistador army (and then a Lizardmen one to oppose them- but that’s another case entirely!) and if that’s going to be possible I for one will be a very happy bunny…a poorer one mind you!
