Fight As The Athenians With More Heroes For Mortal Gods

The Athenians are getting a few mighty heroes that can be used to lead them into battle during games of Footsore Miniatures' Mortal Gods. The first of these is Andronikos, Athenian Heavy Lochagos.

The folks at Footsore Miniatures put together a neat little storyline for this chap which I was happy to see. Someone at Footsore has been having a bit of fun with the descriptions which is always cool! I like it because it helps build up the narratives in your tabletop games.
The next of the miniatures is the Athenian Heavy Promachos.

This gives you another heroic miniature to lead your troops into battle. He comes with a shield raised up, holding it up to fend off an overhead blow or stop an arrow from striking him in the face. I have always liked this particular classic look of Ancient Greek armour. It is very evocative.
Lastly, we have the Athenian Medium Promachos who is a little less well armoured compared to the rest of his kin.

He still has one of those impressive helmets and a huge shield for keeping him alive. He looks like he has just bellowed a challenge to some Spartan champion and is ready to meet him on the field of battle in a one-on-one duel.
All of these miniatures can be snapped up separately but can also be purchased as part of the Athenian Mortal Gods Core Deal. This gives you the Starter Set for Mortal Gods plus two of these additional Athenians to help theme the force.
Are you tempted to snap these up and fight out a classic brawl between Athens and Sparta?

That shield design is really nice. Does anyone recommend this game? Looks fun. How do the cards work?
Stunning figures.
