Atalanta Joins Hercules For JoeK Minis’ Odyssey
December 27, 2014 by brennon
JoeK Miniatures have shown off a few new concept art pieces for their upcoming Odyssey line. See what you think of both Atalanta and Heracules for this rather cool looking range...
Roberto Cirillo is the concept artist behind Atalanta and Heracles and the Bombshell Babes sculptor Patrick Keith will be sculpting her in the new year. This line-up is looking very cool indeed and I can't wait to see a few more sculpts for it come to life.
Which do you prefer of the two?
I purchased the first model of this range, Hephaestus. Beautifully sculpted and cast. I’ll definitely be buying anything they release.
So is this like a steampunk version or alien encountered take on the classic greek lineup. It looks interesting…
Its the merged weapons into the hands that makes me think alternate universe.
It’s a sci-fi setting rather than a steampunk one. There’s little bits of background on each minis floating around on the JoeK Facebook page but that’s all so far. I also have the Hephaestus mini and am eagerly awaiting these 🙂
As redben says it’s definitely sci-fi, but not in the same way as your 40k or Infinity side of things! It’s set so very far in the future that ideas about what’s science and magic kinds of blur a little, so expect various oddities throughout 2015 I think 🙂 .
