Artel W Miniatures Send Spectral Spinners Through The Webway
February 22, 2021 by brennon
Artel W Miniatures have now released their set of 28mm resin Sci-Fi kits for those wanting some alternative miniatures for the grimdark future. The Spectral Spinners are about to leap from the webway and cut down your opponents.
Spectral Spinner Prime // Artel W Miniatures
The Spectral Spinner Prime can be built as you see here, utterly eviscerating this Space Knight or you can just mount the character atop the pillar without the "telefrag". There are some additional options in the mix too allowing you to build both Male and Female versions of the character.
As well as the Spectral Spinner Prime you can also pick up a single Squad Leader for a Spectral Spinner squad too. This fellow isn't quite as extravagant as the Prime but still gives you a deadly, stalking individual for you to add to your army.
Spectral Spinner Squad Leader // Artel W Miniatures
As you can see from these miniatures, the final products are looking exceptionally well-detailed. Artel W has been doing some seriously awesome work over the years and these are no different. They are a very nice upgrade to a classic Aspect Warrior option for the Eldar.
The Leader can take command of a full Spectral Spinners Squad...
Spectral Spinners Squad // Artel W Miniatures
As you can see, this set comes with the Squad leader that we showed above but also a set of stalking Spinners who have their eye on the prize. I don't even mind all of the foot-on-rock in this kit as they all look exceptionally cool. There is a mix of male and female bodies in the set plus you can also snap up a range of heads as optional buys too.
Are you going to be picking these up?

Could be fun playing a game of them verses predators.?
very cool – if I ever decide to resurrect my old Eldar army from back in the day, Artel will be my first port of call to find some new units
So … that’s where the talented GW sculptors went 😉
(it might explain why we haven’t seen any major refreshes for Orks and Eldar … )
It still baffles me that Warp Spiders – who at the time were incredibly rad & fresh designs – have not had an update in 25 years
I’ve noticed that GW tends to focus on one or two factions … everything else is ‘forgotten’. The AoS factions only get ‘new’ stuff if they are fresh (like the cow elves) and someone at GW likes them. The new dwarves (fyreslayers?) only got basic units. And to make matters worse … somehow half of the units they a faction does have is ‘web only’ (like the spider riders which are an option for Gloomspite gitz), which effectively kills any interest in that option as what little re-packaged units they do get is focused on just one aspect (like the… Read more »
Those look really good.
