The Army Painter Team Have Fun With Handy Lasers!
September 8, 2014 by dracs
The Army Painter have come out with three new tools to help you with your gaming, and as we all know, the best way to do that is with lasers!
The first of the new releases is just a standard tape measure, that most essential tool of any gamer's arsenal.
The Army Painter have also released Warren's favourite gaming tool, a laser pointer to help you figure out line of sight issues and for charging any dice you need to roll.
Marker Lights like these, while not essential, do help to deal with any line of sight issues you come across.
But Army Painter haven't stopped at this when playing around with lasers, also coming out with a marker line that draws target lines across the table.
This Targetlock line helps you to establish vehicle facings, what flank you're charging and various other such details when gaming.
These new accessories are a pretty useful set of tools, each providing a useful role in letting your games go more smoothly. All three of them will soon be available from The Army Painter store.
Do you ever make use of lasers for your games? Other than for shooting at each other, I mean.

These arent bad, cheaper to buy elsewhere I am sure, and illegal to own in some countries. Australia I think ban the import of these types of lasers
The line projecting laser on offer here is surprisingly cheap, actually. The pointer is just a laser pointer, but 7 bucks isn’t bad. I’m tempted by the tape measure just because it has both metric and imperial units on it.
And not recommended for use in the Middle East or Afghanistan.
Likely to get a 1000lb LGB ruining the gaming table! lol
Well that’s definitely a laser pointer and a tape measure.
Nice stuff. I use my laser (like the second “line” version) when playing X-Wing. Good to lengthen those firing-arc lines on the ship bases tocheck wether you can shoot at your opponent ornot. The human eyeis surprisingly easy to fool.
I’ve played Warmachine with people who use them. It comes in handy when checking charge lanes if you’re trying to squeeze that jack through a small gap between other units. It’s especially useful in any situation when getting a physical straight edge on the table surface is likely to bump something and move it (so yeah, X-Wing is a strong contender).
Oh i will buy me one of those (product nr 2)
