Ares Journey On In New Sword & Sorcery Ancient Chronicles Kickstarter

Ares Games are going to be coming back to Kickstarter soon for a new expansion to Sword & Sorcery. Ancient Chronicles throws more heroes down into the depths for this dungeon crawling adventure and you can see the reveal characters here...

These new and very different looking heroes are going to be going up against a myriad of different minions and monsters down in the darkness. As well as the previews for the new characters above they also showed off some of the foes they'll be facing.

Big spikey insects and cruel looking goblins seem like dangerous foes to face. Goblins have always been something of a pushover in dungeon delves but this fellow seems much more deadly!

Explore New Realms

One of the big things coming to Sword & Sorcery is the chance to explore more of the Underreign as shown here in this map by Francesco Mattioli.

Heroes can now choose to Journey as an action which allows them to traverse maps and face different events unfolding within the world. Adventure then allows the players to delve into the dungeons they have found as part of their journeys as per normal.

The coolest thing is that each of the events you face will come from their Book Of Secrets, throwing some excellent narrative options into the mix and developing the story behind the game.
