The Arachnoid Prime Scuttles Forth From Puppets War
February 23, 2017 by brennon
Building on their range of alien bugs the folks at Puppets War has now found a new evolution of their Arachnoids, the Arachnoid Prime!
This monstrous creation is a mix of one of their other bug kits and the larger body you see here. It allows you to create a little bit of a 'Broodmother' look, a creature guarded by her loyal drones.
Now all you need to do is seriously consider how you're going to recreate some epic Starship Troopers scenes using these models. You can see how big this beastie is next to a regular marine, also from Puppets War...
I wouldn't like to be that poor fellow about to be sliced and diced by that creepy crawly.
Are you going to be checking out more of their Arachnoid range?

Would like to see some head shots before I make up my mind, but it’s not grabbing me as being decidedly interesting at the moment, but this insect thing really isn’t my bag, it may be just what you are looking for.
look like a praying mantis head?
a good looking bug.
Ultimately they made great new heads, but are using some rather boring old body forms. These would be so much cooler on a smaller and more creative… even if bipedal, frame. It’s also an opportunity for them to try something almost no-one ever does… insects with armor and guns… IE, what Starship Troopers actually depicted (novel).
Ah, Mr Morden….
A bit chunkier and bigger, but these definitely have a Shadows feel to them. (From Babylon 5, for the uninitiated)
The arms are thin and the legs are chunky. Wish they matched each other better.
