Anvil Industry Begin Sculpting Afterlife Miniatures Again!
September 22, 2016 by brennon
A new preview image on Facebook revealed that Anvil Industry is now back to working on miniatures for their Afterlife Sci-Fi range. Here we have an early look at Ellenor Renard.
This model still has a way to go but it's looking like she's going to be in a rather cinematic/action movie pose when finished. Why use one pistol when two would just make you look more epic?
They have noted that she does seem a little masculine at the moment but after a bit of tinkering that should be fixed and she'll be off to the printers.
Are you a fan of Afterlife?

looks great.
I get a strong lord inquisitor vibe from this?
Good news – really happy the team have had an opportunity to shift the focus back to Afterlife for a bit.
The whole two weapons thing just drives me batty. A shame. These guys make great figures.
Bit concerned that this looks nothing like a woman whatsoever?! Normally their 3d sculpts are very good. It’s not lacking detail but it does not even resemble a “vasquez” type heroine. Don’t mean to diss, just wondering if anyone else thought this.
@igotskills – Yep quite a few people! This render is a first version. I’ve since completely reworked her face to get the correct anatomy – mainly a smaller nose and chin.
Its also the case that what looks right on a 28mm miniature in real life tends to look oversized and blockier (and thus in this case, more masculine) when its rendered much larger than life size.
The finished resin will be out next week and you can judge the final version then 🙂
