Anvil Industry Reveals New Releases For Afterlife
September 3, 2015 by stvitusdancern
Anvil Industry does stunning work for their Afterlife miniatures line.
This this time around they have released miniatures for the Unity Council, first being the Isaias Cortez. His description reads:
Isiah Cortez is a high ranking commander in the Unity Guard, the Council's elite internal security organisation. Having risen through the ranks over a decades long career, Cortez is a veteran of hundreds of battles and often leads a unit personally, wherever the fighting is thickest. He is inspirational to his men and holds an unshakable faith in the righteousness of the Council.
Unity Council Gabriela Aguilar and Female Spectre Operative is the next two releases, and they are some very interesting miniatures and I love sniper miniatures. There is such an air about snipers and the discipline needed to lay for hours in one spot waiting for the target to show itself.
The other miniature is a Spectre Operative as part of the special operations squad.
Gabriela Aguilar is the daughter of a decorated UCMC colonel, and has spent all of her life in military schools and academies. Renowned as the best shot in the Eastern Protectorate, and a marine first-class in all areas of her training, she was inducted into the top-secret Spectre training program where she continued to excel.
Special Operations forces have always been of interest to gamers and these Spectre Operative Squads make for some terrific miniatures to get in and do the dirty deed, fast and clean and get out just as quietly and rapidly as they can.
I really love these miniatures and I would love to collect them just to paint up in some sort of digital camouflage. It would really be interesting to see what could be done with them.
Spectre Operatives are among the most elite and secretive military assets available to the Council, trained and equipped for covert operations and lightning fast precision raids. Spectres are deployed on small scale black ops missions, or used to supplement the effectiveness of regular UCMC units in larger operations.
What do you think? How would you play them?

These are great sculpts, but there’s something about the proportions…
