Anvil Begin Afterlife 3D Printing With Alexsander Malik!
January 22, 2015 by brennon
The 3D printing continues from Anvil Industry for Afterlife: The Shards of Liberty and the latest piece is Alexsander Malik "The Technician" who looks very angry indeed...
The important thing here is that the detail is very pretty awesome indeed and shows what these 3D printers can do nowadays. The detail on the rear armour and the hair is the most noticeable when you take a closer look.
Plenty of the upcoming miniatures from Anvil are top on our list of things to check out this year in 2015 so hopefully we'll see a lot of it hit webstores before too long.
What do you think of Alexsander?

That is really nice.
That’s lovely!
3D printing can do that !!!!?!? ?!?!?!
f**k! I am speechless.
this is brilliant the miner defects are similar to resin was this made by 3D printing or laser form printing?
Wow! impressive stuff, wonder if such a thing would be possible in your fortnightly “build your own 3D prinrter mag?” 😉
That is nice and the printer has a high step count so its not that noticeable. The ones for jewellers can do even finer work, but for us this is perfect.
Their latest news claims their printer can make 0.03mm thick layers. Good enough for me.
Hello,
We are glad the print is well recieved, we are still trying to get even better quality and consistency, which will likely take a while longer. We are experimenting with 0.02mm thick layers, which means over 1500 layers in a typical 31mm figure, enough to create seamlessly smooth surfaces.
@Zorg – we are using a DLP printer with liquid resin and a projector to cure it.
nice is the projector UV light then.
