AntiMatter Paint the Creatures of the Deep
September 21, 2014 by dracs
AntiMatter Games recently had a successful run on Kickstarter and one of the goals was to bring out a soft cover painting guide to help bring colour to their miniatures. While they're working on this, we get to see their miniatures come to life with a lick of paint.
It's always better seeing miniatures when they have been painted up as not only does it show off the sculpt better, but it also helps to bring the whole thing to life, making it more than just a lump of plastic.
With this Dire Fish Lizard, AntiMatter have done a fantastic job in creating a realistic sheen to the scales. The vibrancy of colour makes this a very eye catching model. This definitely bodes well for the quality of the painting guide.
Do you think AntiMatter's painting guide will help you out?

that’s a fantastic looking fishy monster 😀
really original concept 🙂
also, that has to be the best looking fish scale paint job I’ve ever seen 🙂
beautiful use of colour and blending, has a real sheen to it 🙂
… although granted, not many people make fishy beast minis like this 😛 ha ha
How big is it?
Has Titan finally upgraded the Mechanical Fish to be able to blow Stingray out of the briny?
best puppet reference of the day 😀
… I wonder if their going to paint it … aqua marina 😉
it’s pun-tastic 😀
Blubble blubble bluurbleblubble! >;(
I’ll take that as a NO!
From the guard who let her escape with Troy Tempest who has been on sea potato peeling duty ever since
It’s about 90mms in length on a 50mm base. The deepWars range has a lot of cool, big monsters, absolutely love the Giant Angler Fish myself (also on a 50mm base):
